On cold winter days, savor some mulled apple cider while sitting in front of a roaring fire. On hot summer days, take a swim in our inground pool after a day of hiking or browsing through the area's many antique shops or find a quiet spot in the gardens where you can relax.A delicious breakfast will be prepared each morning of your stay, and you may choose to be served in our formal dining room, or in one of our other common areas. Weather permitting, we will be happy to serve you breakfast on the patio.
A little bit about your hosts....
Your hosts, Mary Beth and Neal Boucher, began this new life adventure, establishing their own B & B after many years experience working within the health and human service field. For some time, we had been considering how we would approach the future. We were both drawn to the possibility of opening a B & B -- a new venture that we hoped to be able to continue into our retirement years.
As fate would have it, after having resided in the seacoast region of Massachusetts and New Hampshire for almost 25 years, we relocated to the beautiful Dartmouth/ Sunapee Region of the state. Since it is now just the two of us, we thought this a perfect opportunity to convert some of the rooms and open our small B&B. So here we are.
Arbor Brook officially opened in October, 2003. Since that time we have been fortunate to host the most wonderful people. Many of our guests have been family and friends of people who live in this area. In addition, we have had some business people stay with us whenever they are working in the area, as well as visitors looking for a taste of the good life we enjoy here in this wonderful and diverse section of New England.

| Amenities..... A delicious complimentary Three Course Breakfast is prepared each morning and if you wish, Afternoon Tea is served between 3 PM and 5 PM. Light refreshments are available during the day and you will find complimentary beverages in each room. • In-ground swimming pool, deck and patio. • Lovely perennial gardens. • Wireless internet service. • Access to telephones. • Televisions are available, as well as cards, games and puzzles. Special Request Amenities & Small Party Events.... If your reservation is to celebrate a special occasion, we will be delighted to assist in making the special arrangements needed. For example, we will provide you with a candlelight breakfast or, if you prefer, we will serve you "Breakfast in Bed". We will be happy to make reservations at a special restaurant, or have a special cake, gift basket or floral arrangement waiting for you in your room. Small Party Events.... If you are planning a wedding, anniversary party or other special event, Arbor Brook Bed & Breakfast may be the perfect setting. We have an extensive list of area caterers, florists, photographers, etc. Space for small party events is limited to 20 - 30 guests. Arbor Brook has been a favorite place to stay for brides and their bridal parties on the evening before the wedding. Brides have arranged for their hairdressers, florists, photographers, etc. to come to this one destination where they can provide their professional services and at the scheduled time, the limousines arrive to pick up the party. It has been our custom to serve a morning buffet, with refreshments available throughout the day. Buffets have included; Mushroom Quiche, Egg, Ham & Cheese Casserole, Fresh Fruit, Muffins, Luncheon Hors d 'Oeuvres, Desserts. Pet Accommodations.... We are unable to board pets here, but can provide you with the contact information for kennels located in the vicinity of Newport. |
